The BSB Business Services Training Package v7.0 Case for Endorsement was approved at the recent AISC meeting.
The Case for Endorsement included:
- Updated: 33 qualifications (amalgamated from 66) and 283 units of competency.
- New: 20 units and 33 skills sets.
- Deleted: 7 qualifications
- Superseded: 242 units of competency.
Updated training products will be released on training.gov.au in mid-October. The application for an extended 18-month transition period is in progress.

- Implementation Guide: V6.01 CVIG BSB Training Package Final
Final proposed changes
- New Certificate I in Workplace Skills qualification
- New Certificate II in Workplace Skills qualification
- 6 Certificate III qualifications will be streamlined into one Certificate III in Business qualification
- 8 Certificate IV qualifications will be streamlined into one Certificate IV in Business qualification.
- 7 Diploma qualifications will be combined into one Diploma of Business.
- 242 units of competency will be removed from the BSB Training Package.
- New units of competency in communication, cyber security, leadership and sustainability
- New skill sets
Project Timeline
Skills for Australia expects the final versions will be submitted for endorsement at the Australian Industry and Skills Committee August meeting, with a release date on training.gov.au in October 2020.
