FGS Fostering generic skills
Fostering Generic Skills helps teachers recognise where and how generic employability skills are incorporated in their teaching programs. The resource comprises a book and a CD-ROM and contains complete lesson plans and student hand-outs.
The book features:
-a description of the generic skills
-an explanation of the importance of generic skills to employers
-an explanation of the teacher/trainer role in fostering these skills
-a large number of short activities to foster the development of each skill
-a resource page of useful websites.
The CD-ROM contains 20 longer projects covering a variety of topics, activity master copies and learner handouts for each project."
